An East Bay native, Awa spent the early part of her career climbing that corporate ladder, until she realized she'd rather spend less time working and more time living. That realization was the start of her personal journey to lose weight, be healthier and, ultimately, happier. With motivation from her trainer, Awa set out to get certified in spin and started teaching others how to change their lifestyles.
Awa is now 50lbs lighter and 10 dress sizes smaller, and she is dedicating her days to helping others. Awa runs Project Pedal, an indoor cycling program that combines music with cardiovascular and strength training.
Okay, so I'm not an expert on the best way to get fit, but I'm fairly certain that inspiration and motivation are a big part of it, and those are two things that Awa brings in force.
